At GIA’s training institute, The Center for Counseling and Clinical Training, we believe that becoming a great therapist is a process. It’s more than learning theory and techniques - it’s about relationships and presence.
Our program is a two- to three -year clinical fellowship designed to shape thoughtful, reflective, and skilled therapists who can thrive in clinical practice and beyond.
Post-graduate fellows are paid clinicians within the practice who maintain a developing caseload of approximately 5–10 clients per week while engaged in the institute’s training program.
The fellowship curriculum integrates foundational and contemporary scholarship in relational psychotherapy, with readings, intensive supervision, case presentations, lectures, and clinical dialogue designed to deepen both theoretical understanding and therapeutic presence.
The program emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as the central catalyst for change.
Whether you’re just starting out or already have clinical experience, the GIA Institute provides a structured, supportive path to deepen your skills and step confidently into the profession.
