Group Therapy in South Jersey
DBT Skills Group
Population: Adults who struggle with intense emotions, impulsive behaviors, or relationship difficulties.
Days/Times: Tuesday nights 5pm-6:30pm
Our Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Programs Director, Dena Tartaro leads our DBT groups with warmth, humor, and deep clinical skill. Tuesday evenings, you’ll join a small, supportive group where you can learn—and actually practice—skills that make daily life easier. Together, we’ll focus on mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness to help you handle stress, manage emotions, and build more balanced relationships. Over time, these tools can help you feel more grounded, connected, and in control of your story.
DBT Skills Group for Women with Trauma
Population: Women who have experienced trauma and struggle with intense emotions, flashback, nightmares, or destructive relationships and patterns
Days/Times: Thursdays, 9am-10:30am
This group blends trauma-informed care with DBT skills to support women on their healing journey. Together, we’ll practice tools that really work—helping you manage intense emotions, stay grounded, and handle memories or relationships that feel complicated. In a group of women who truly understand what it’s like to live with the impact of trauma, you’ll find connection, safety, and hope for something new.
Parenting ‘Big’ Feelings
Population: Parents of children who struggle with big emotions and extra challenges like ADHD, emotional reactivity, or anxiety
This group supports parents of deeply feeling kids—children who experience the world intensely and may struggle with ADHD, emotional reactivity, or anxiety. Together, we’ll explore what your child’s behaviors are really communicating and practice ways to respond with calm, confidence, and compassion. Through practical tools, real-life examples, and supportive discussion, you’ll learn how to stay grounded during emotional storms, set clear and caring limits, and strengthen your family’s connection. Parents often leave with a deeper understanding of their child’s sensitivity, fresh perspective on what helps, and the reassurance that they’re not alone in this journey.
