GIA’s training institute, The Center for Clinical Training and Psychotherapy, we believe that becoming a great therapist is a process. It’s more than learning theory and techniques - it’s about relationships and presence.

Our program is a three-year clinical fellowship designed to shape thoughtful, reflective, and skilled therapists who can thrive in clinical practice and beyond.

Post-graduate fellows are paid clinicians within the practice who maintain a developing caseload of approximately 5–10 clients per week while engaged in the institute’s training program.

Training Next Generation Therapists

The fellowship curriculum integrates foundational and contemporary scholarship in relational psychotherapy, with readings, intensive supervision, case presentations, lectures, and ongoing clinical dialogue designed to deepen both theoretical understanding and therapeutic presence.

Emphasis is placed on the therapeutic relationship as the central catalyst for change.

Whether you’re just starting out or already have clinical experience, the GIA Internship provides a structured, supportive path to deepen your skills and step confidently into the profession.
